Cozy winter outfit!

shirt: Top Shop  |  jeans: AG Jeans  |  shoes: Steve Madden
ring: Jules Smith  |  watch: Daniel Wellington  |  purse: Prada

With the blizzard finally starting to make way I can't help but sit and create the coziest outfit I'd want to be wearing if I was able to leave my house-- with the exception of perhaps swapping the flats out for snow boots! Something about neutral colors always makes any drab chilly day feel much more chic and can also help break up all the white that is covering every square inch around you while not being too loud. This look is simple and elegant while still feeling comfortable and cozy.
Stay safe for all of those who dare to venture out!

Puerto Rico Getaway

Our brother recently was married in Puerto Rico at the W Resort on the island of Vieques! It was breathtakingly beautiful there and we had the most amazing time. We spent 3 days in Vieques and 2 days in Old San Juan, which was our absolute favorite. We loved everything about Old San Juan from the food, to the shopping and all the colorful buildings. Definitely a place that we'd one day like to purchase property in!
*Please excuse some of the grainy pictures in the beginning- the lighting was terrible!

My maternity shoot

Can't stop swooning over these photos from my maternity shoot with the wonderfully talented Jordan Denike Photography! She is a close friend of mine and I instantly knew she was the one I wanted to capture this special time in our life. I wanted an outdoor setting since I knew the baby's newborn shots would be done inside, and also I couldn't pass up all the leaves everywhere, it's so majestic! I recently had purchased the green Hunter boots the previous weekend and thought I'd pair it with the coco & fox blanket scarf in black watch-- my personal favorite! Hope you guys enjoy the photos and stay tuned because in less than 5 weeks you'll be able to see Apollo's newborn shoot!

A glimpse into my closet

When my husband and I purchased our home in July the first room I knew I wanted to unpack was my closet, I figured it would tackle half of the boxes. It's still a work in progress and I'm not sure what look I'm going for but I change it up from time to time until I settle on an idea for the big remodel. I also am on the prowl for the perfect light since I can't stand the lighting currently in there! I like having all my shoes out on display so I know exactly what I have, and a majority of my shirts, dresses and sweaters are hung in color coordination. Eventually I would like to have all of my shirts hanging as well as my pants, but till then i'll enjoy it the way it is!

Trip to Portland, OR

Here's a throwback post to September 2015 when my boyfriend Mike and I took a trip to Portland, OR to visit our friends Nikki & Kyle. There were a lot of things we had on our travel agenda (hiking, brewery visits, and lots of food) so it was difficult to narrow it down since we were only there for 5 days! Mike and I both love being outdoors so the Multnomah Falls and Oneonta Gorge were definitely places we were looking forward to see. Both spots were simply beautiful. Since Nikki and Kyle were sick that day we didn't get to hike for too long, but that's okay, now we have an excuse to visit again! Voodoo Doughnuts was also a place we NEEDED to go to. I'm not a huge doughnut fan but oh my god, they were damn delicious (I still think about them today!) And as for the breweries, well let's just say Portland has some incredible beers. We stopped at 8 different breweries (maybe a little more than 8...who knows, I lost count!) and they were all amazing. I think I drank my weight in beer!

I loved everything about that city and can't wait to visit again, but until then, stay weird Portland!

APOLLO's nursery!

With just under 5 weeks left for this little prince's arrival, we are so excited to have his room all finished and ready for him! We decided to keep it clean with neutral colors, this way we can easily change themes as he grows. My husband is obsessed with the Apollo light up sign from Michael's craft stores behind his crib and my favorite piece is his crown and scroll wall art from Restoration Hardware (thanks to his Titi Blaine). We are going to be adding more photos on the walls of his aunts and uncles as well as family friends, and possibly adding a cushion to the rocking chair so it's more comfortable for me when I sit to nurse or read to him. All in all it's exactly how I pictured it to be and I hope Apollo loves it as much as we do!

Weekend getaway!

So the day after Christmas, Elissa was supposed to catch her bus back to Philadelphia, but naturally she missed it! (needs to work on her timing) She of course begged me to drive her the 2.5 hours back to her apartment and with it being the holidays, I couldn't say no. Rather than make it a quick drop off I called our cousin Kate and asked her to go over night with me. By doing so, we made this a fun weekend trip and I couldn't have asked for a better way to finish off the holidays! We shopped, went for dinner, watched movies, and then had delicious breakfast the next morning. I'm thinking of doing this once a month for a little R & R so I can try and keep my sanity. Of course come February, baby Apollo will be attending, and that'll make it even better than before!
